How Biljardpalatset succeeded in attracting Gen Z

Challenges

Biljardpalatset has been curating memorable evenings for large groups for over 40 years. Having previously concentrated solely on TV advertising, they realized they were missing out on important and future growth opportunities.

In an effort to connect with a new audience, especially Gen Z, Biljardpalatset approached Gabba. While the channel choice may have seemed straight-forward, the content tactics posed a different challenge. Convincing a previously disinterested audience to visit the restaurant became our primary focus.

Results

Instead of solely highlighting Biljardpalatset’s existing offerings (which are readily apparent), we directed our focus towards capturing the hearts of Gen Z by introducing the real personalities behind the scenes with a touch of humor and an authentic approach.

We crafted a concept infused with humor and authenticity, showcasing their charismatic staff in short and engaging videos. Shortly after the initial production was released, Gen Z’s were eagerly queuing outside Biljardpalatset on weekends, excited to meet our TikTok star, Alexis. An unexpected friendship blossomed and within two weeks, we garnered 17,000 new followers on TikTok.

We have worked together with Gabba for 18 months and since the beginning they have helped us to strengthen our brand with a perfect mix between humor and the quality we want to show. The Gabba gang are easy to work with and our goal of being top of mind with our guests has been exceeded by leaps and bounds!
